ABS-ESD7 Description

Stratasys ABS-ESD7 filament is a specialized thermoplastic material used in additive manufacturing. It is a blend of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) polymer and an electrically active substance (carbon nanotubes, carbon fibers, conductive carbon black, or proprietary Graphene NanoPlatelet filler). This combination offers excellent electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection by preventing static build-up, making it an ideal material for electronics packaging and manufacturing environments. The material also has good dimensional stability, strength, and high-temperature resistance, making it suitable for creating functional prototypes, parts for machines, and tools. Stratasys ABS-ESD7 filament is compatible with most traditional FDM printers, with minor modifications to accommodate small changes in material handling and printing settings.

Finishes for fused filament fabrication printed ABS-ESD7.

Fused filament fabrication (FFF) is a popular additive manufacturing process that can produce high-quality parts with various finishing and post-processing options. Standard post-processing techniques for FFF parts include sanding, polishing, and chemical smoothing to improve surface finish and reduce layer visibility. Additional painting, plating, and assembly options enhance the final product. Prototek’s experienced team can guide you through the best post-processing methods to meet your project requirements.
